Los Alamos Squadron,

Saturday we will conduct a "mini" SAREX. The plan is to meet at 7AM at the LAM terminal where we will organize into aircrews, ground crew, and base ops. We will attempt to complete two sorties, although it is possible we will only get one sortie in before weather conditions shut us down. A ground crew will be led by Caleb Britton and supervised by Rob Plonski. Depending on how many participate on the ground crew, they will hide an ELT and remain in the area to signal to aircrew with mirror and/or tarp panel after ELT is located. The current plan is:

Aircrew #1:
Mike Strevell - Mission Pilot, Skill Evaluator Trainer
Darrik Stafford - Mission Scanner (Trainee)
D.J. Luscher - Mission Observer (Trainee)

Aircrew #2:
Mark Peters (or Mike Strevell) - Mission Pilot, Skill Evaluator Trainer
DeWayne Britton - Mission Scanner (Trainee)
Bill Wolfe - Mission Observer, Photog

Ground Crew:
Rob Plonski (Supervising)
Caleb Britton (Leading)
Cadets? (contact Rob or Caleb)

Base Ops:
Annette Peters - Incident/Base Command?
Jim Norvell - Base Communications / ICUT evaluator

If your name is not on this list and you would like to participate, let me know. If your name is on this list and you are not available let me know. We will adjust our plan and activities to accomplish as many individual training objectives as we can. Please spend a few minutes evaluating training tasks that you would like to accomplish and print out the associated task requirements (e.g. from mission aircrew task guide). Also, please wear an appropriate CAP uniform, bring lunch/snacks as desired, and CAP member ID and ES 101 card. (I believe the 101 card is not strictly needed, but it is good practice for real SAREX/mission.)

Please note: If you would like ICUT qualification, you will need to take the online orientation and test *before* Col. Norvell can evaluate on Saturday. (Thanks for the note, Col. Norvell)
